ROBO-HI OS – the World’s First Large-Scale Autonomous Robot OS — Launches at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY

ROBO-HI Corporation launches the AOS "ROBO-HI® OS" running more than 40 autonomous robots at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY — home to THE LINKPILLAR 1, the pillar tower anchoring the city.

To mark the opening of TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY in March 2026, ROBO-HI Corporation officially launched its Autonomous Operating System (AOS), "ROBO-HI® OS" — enabling integrated multi-vendor robot management and fully autonomous on-site operation without human intervention. Moving beyond the traditional "SaaS that makes people more productive" paradigm, ROBO-HI is pioneering "AOS that runs the site fully autonomously". Under this vision, more than 40 robots from various manufacturers are now connected to "ROBO-HI® OS", concentrated mainly around THE LINKPILLAR 1, acting as the infrastructure that supports the city's daily life.

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF URBAN AND FACILITY OPERATIONS WITH MULTIPLE ROBOT TYPES

ROBO-HI OS has been in live operation since TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY's initial opening in March 2025, with the number of robots and operating areas steadily expanding.

By the official March 2026 opening, more than 40 robots were already connected — and the count continues to grow.

Managing diverse robot types in a single area in real time and putting them to work on real tasks is a deployment at a scale rarely seen anywhere in the world.

ROBO-HI OS delivers essential office and commercial-facility capabilities — delivery, cleaning, security, guidance, and mobility assistance — under a multi-vendor model. Far more than a management tool, the system tightly integrates with equipment such as elevators, flap gates, and security doors. Even in complex, busy environments, it gives robots the conditions to carry out their work smoothly and without interruption.

In addition, by linking with the city's operating system, the platform ingests real-time rail operations and foot-traffic data to optimize robot operation according to congestion conditions.

At TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY — where the entire city has officially come online — the company will reinforce this support system as the infrastructure where humans and robots coexist. By rolling out "ROBO-HI OS" to office buildings and commercial facilities at home and abroad, the company aims to contribute to digital transformation (DX) and to lift productivity across society.

ROBO-HI OS is an AOS that controls robots on the cloud and drives fully autonomous on-site operation. Acting as the digital backbone that orchestrates robots, equipment, IT, and IoT like a conductor, the system has been in operation at more than 18 domestic sites since its 2023 launch.

1. Distributed "brain" architecture combining cloud and edge

A unique control architecture in which the "cerebrum" on the cloud handles high-level decisions and facility coordination, working alongside each robot's "cerebellum" responsible for real-time on-device control.

This lets the system self-manage traffic like a "swarm" without human input, and brings diverse hardware into coordinated operation.

2. High reliability through native system integration

Direct connection to the native cloud systems of domestic elevator manufacturers and other partners allows elevators to move safely and smoothly, passing through security gates with no structural modification to the building.
